Over the past couple of years, the pandemic has significantly changed our lifestyles and spending habits. From panic buying to indulging in retail therapy, many of us have accumulated many items during this time. It is said that 48% of shoppers have permanently changed their buying habits because of the pandemic. It got me thinking about all the stuff I’ve bought during this time. I splurged on home improvement stuff — trying to make my space cozier since I’m spending so much time at home. And don’t even get me started on new gadgets and consoles. Every time I’m stuck at home, I convince myself I need the latest tech to stay entertained. Oh, and let’s not forget about the workout gear. I told myself I’d get super fit during lockdown, but let’s just say my yoga mat has seen more dust than downward dogs lately. And then for others, there are the pets and plants. Though I didn’t cave in on those, I saw a lot of my friends acquire new living things to take care of during the lockdown.
